Sounds Delightful is a place for me to explore and share my interest in pop music. I’m all about catchy, melodic pop with a focus on great songwriting — whether it’s mainstream or not. I like lots of genres and time periods, and some favorites include British invasion, power pop, bubblegum, new wave, synthpop, sophisti-pop, and Britpop.
The blog portion of the site includes reviews, musings, and lists. I will also continue to share playlists on Mixcloud and Spotify, including a monthly mixtape.
The original Sounds Delightful was a weekly hour of glorious pop music. The show aired from 2015-16 on Little Raleigh Radio. in Raleigh, North Carolina. The archives are still available on Mixcloud.
